are among the most expert designers of bench and pilot scale systems
in the power generation industry.
Design and Fabrication
The design of pilot scale test units require a unique skill-set that E1E has acquired over the years. Testing at the bench or pilot scale offers its own unique set of challenges that are often overlooked by those with less experience.
E1E offers a full suite of design and fabrication resources in support of pilot and bench scale testing units. Our expert technical staff handles in-house design and on-site fabrication. Pilot units often require custom fabrication, which proves to be expensive, when using outside fabricators, due to the "one-off" nature of these projects. E1E is able to provide the fabricated test units at competitive prices and lead times.
Bench Scale / Proof of Concept to Pilot Scale
E1E's approach toward technology development traditionally involves starting with the design and fabrication of a proof of concept or bench scale test unit. This unit is then tested in E1E's lab facilities or at a partnering power generation facility. After the concept is proven, E1E engineers design and fabricate a pilot scale test unit. This 1 to 5 MW pilot unit is designed to closely resemble a potential full scale installation.
